Sustainability Framework, Climate Action Planning and Resiliency Planning

BUSS is supporting a BBB-led team advancing College of Charleston’s next Framework Plan. The Plan provides the College with a vision and framework for growth, reached through a consensus-building process with internal and external stakeholders, to guide future development of the College’s main campus and satellite locations for the next ten to 30 years. This effort will inform the content of future capital renewal initiatives, not only construction of new space, but also needs for refurbishment and optimization of existing space.

BUSS is leading the Sustainability and Resiliency planning elements and overalys incorporating a performance-based approach. This effort builds on the College’s 2021 Strategic Sustainability Plan and creates pathway to acheive the school’s Climate Neutrality goals and aspirations.

As part of this effort, BUSS is leading analysis and workshops on the College’s climate and societal risks which includes a diverse stakeholder workshop and discussions with the City and county leaders.
